Tuesday evening, attendees at the Global Change and Sustainability Center’s annual Student Research Symposium mingled in the Union Ballroom to the sounds of smooth jazz…
…gleaning enlightenment from the nearly 50 research posters on display while feasting on an elegant spread.
Project posters ranged wildly by field and topic, with 14 university departments represented. Some posters addressed the nuances of environmental hot topics like air quality and climate change, while others explored areas like environmental education, science communication, citizen science, and sustainability pedagogy.
Still others addressed topics as wide-ranging as human-wildlife conflicts, visitor experiences in national parks, and the modeling of prehistoric human interactions with the natural environment.
It was a well-rounded, well-attended event.
