Earth Day is still a couple of weeks away, but the University of Utah isn’t waiting to celebrate the planet. The U will celebrate Earth Week from April 7-11, with events happening each day to engage the campus community in thinking more sustainably. Earth Week is sponsored by the Sustainability Resource Center and ASUU.
“Earth Week encourages the community to take personal responsibility for their environment,” says Allison Godbe, chairwoman of the ASUU sustainability board. “The University of Utah is committed to creating a more sustainable campus and therefore we want to provide learning opportunities on how people can live more sustainable lives.”
